| This Mercedes-Benz 500K model is from Airfix in 1/24 scale. The kit is built as from the box. The front and bonnet grilles are given a black wash ( Not too clear in the pics). The body was in two pieces as right and left halves and it was hard to maintain body firmness while sanding prior to paint. I managed to keep it firm without any reinforcing plastic parts beneath the seams. It now seems to me an unnecessary risk in building the model. |
